Disaster Service Centers in Mississippi will close in the coming weeks, officials announced. The Harrison County center is scheduled to close on Friday, Oct. 2.
The Pearl River County center will shut down on Saturday, Oct. 3, along with the Stone County center, which is also closing on Oct. 3.
Officials urged residents to plan accordingly and seek assistance before the centers close. No information was provided on the reasons for the closures or if alternative services will be available afterward.
