The Disaster Service Center at the Saucier Lizana Shelter in Harrison County will close Friday at 6 p.m., according to officials. The deadline for residents to apply for assistance is Oct. 3.
Residents do not need to visit the center to apply. Applications can be submitted online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or through the FEMA app, authorities said.
Officials urged residents to act before the deadline if they need disaster aid. The closure marks the end of in-person services at the site, but assistance remains accessible through digital and phone options.
