Mississippi Disaster Service Center at Saucier Lizana Shelter to close Friday

The Disaster Service Center at the Saucier Lizana Shelter in Harrison County will close at 6 p.m. Friday, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.

Residents affected by Tropical Storm Arthur can visit other locations for assistance. The Donal Snyder Community Center in Biloxi is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with weekends closed.

The Pearl River County Annex in Poplarville operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is closed on Sundays. The Stone County Fairgrounds in Wiggins is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Sundays closed.

The deadline to apply for assistance is Oct. 3, according to the agency.
