Union County School District Announces Changes to Calendar
The Union County School District has made changes to its 2020-2021 calendar, as announced this morning.
Originally, students were to return to classes on August 6. In the new calendar, August 6-14 will now be professional development days for staff only.
Students will now report to classes on August 17th for their first day. Along with this, every Friday will be a “60% day” that runs from 7:48 to 11:48 for students, as to help staff in distance learning assessment and planning.
All four Union County schools are offering each student the choice between traditional learning or distance learning.
As of now, the fall semester will still conclude on December 18 with a “60% day.” Students are also still slated to return for the second semester on January 4.
