“Mission Myrtle” Being Held This Saturday
An event being deemed the name “Mission Myrtle” is being held this Saturday to help meet community needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mission Myrtle will be held on Saturday, August 8 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Myrtle Fire Department.
Free food will be distributed in the form of hamburgers and hotdogs to all who attend.
Free clothes will also be displayed for attendees to choose from. Choices will range from baby clothes all the way to adult sizes.
Free school supplies such as binders, notebooks, pencils, crayons, and erasers will also be distributed at no cost to any who is in need of items before school resumes.
Entertainment will be provided for children. This includes free goodie bags, balloon animals, and snowcones.
The event will also adhere to all of the latest COVID-19 recommendations and orders made by the governor. This includes required masks for all in attendance, gloves for those preparing food, and hand sanitizing stations.
