The Union County Heritage Museum will hold a clay storytelling workshop on September 28 at 4:30 p.m. The class, led by instructor Gail Morton, encourages participants to tell their stories through custom-made tiles.
The $65 session includes all materials. Participants are asked to bring a photocopy or drawing of a reference photo measuring 8 by 10 inches, 8.5 by 11 inches, or 9 by 12 inches. The reference image should match the size of the final tile.
The class will meet twice, with the second session dedicated to glazing the tiles. Both meetings will take place at the art house, located at 205 Faulkner Way in New Albany.
Participants must be at least 11 years old to join. Registration is available via a provided link, and spots are expected to fill quickly, according to museum officials.
The workshop is part of the museum’s ongoing efforts to promote arts education and community engagement, with support from local organizations and media outlets.
