Pumpkin carving and heritage activities set for Mississippi Hills Festival Saturday

The Mississippi Hills Heritage and Folklife Festival will host a variety of activities this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., including pumpkin carving. The event invites families to explore traditional crafts such as blacksmithing, quilting, butter making, and food preservation.

Children can participate in games and win ribbon prizes at 11 a.m., according to organizers. The festival aims to provide a hands-on experience celebrating Pioneer Days and local heritage.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their families for a day of learning and fun at the festival, which is designed to highlight regional history and crafts.
