New Albany prepares for 2026 Tallahatchie Riverfest with music and family activities
The 2026 Tallahatchie Riverfest is set for Saturday, Sept. 26, in downtown New Albany, Mississippi. The event will feature a full day of music, food vendors, shopping, and family activities, according to organizers.
The festival’s theme is “Soul, Grit & Guitars,” and it will culminate with a free concert on the River Stage beginning at 5 p.m. The lineup includes headliners Bobby Rush and Paul Thorn, along with guest performances by Anissa Hampton and the Shameless All-Star Country Band.
Throughout the day, Tanglefoot Sounds will perform at Trailhead Plaza, featuring artists Mike Cater and Chad Nolan, Leah Rose, and CJ Lane & Friends. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the marketplace, kids zone, and a variety of food vendors, organizers said.
The event is free to the public and aims to celebrate the culture and community of New Albany. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, at downtown New Albany.
