Band Night moved indoors due to rain, split into two performances
The band’s annual Band Night will be held indoors after heavy rain was forecasted for the evening, according to school officials. The event was moved to the high school practice gym, located across from the band hall inside the high school.
Due to limited space, the performance will be split into two sessions. The first begins at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:20. The second starts at 6:40 p.m., with doors opening immediately after the first show concludes. Families and friends are asked to choose one session to attend and to enter and exit quickly to accommodate as many supporters as possible, the school said.
School officials expressed disappointment over the venue change but cited concerns about water damage to instruments and student safety. The safety of students and their equipment remains the top priority, they added.
The schedule also includes a fish and chicken dinner for students with tickets at 4:30 p.m., a rehearsal at 5:15 p.m., and dismissal for band students from the practice gym at 6:45 p.m. Students wearing band shirts will be admitted to the game for free.
