The Union County Courthouse in New Albany, Mississippi, was constructed in 1909 by F. E. Dobson & Company, according to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.

The building was designed by architect H. E. Ostling from Montgomery, Alabama. It bears a striking resemblance to the Fayette County Courthouse in Fayette, Alabama, which was built in 1911 using plans provided by Dobson, the department said.

The courthouse is a historic structure and part of the county’s architectural heritage, with its design reflecting early 20th-century civic architecture. The building remains a key landmark in New Albany.
