Birney Imes Highlights New Exhibit at Union County Heritage Museum

Birney Imes was the guest speaker at Union County Heritage Museum’s Museum Moments 2026 on Tuesday. He discussed the museum’s new exhibit titled “Gon Play it for Lil Brother,” which features photographs by Alex Kustner, a German photographer and friend of Imes.

During the program, attendees learned about Kustner’s work and its significance. The event also included a surprise visit from Kuana Cash of Greenwood, Mississippi, who brought his handmade diddly bow and guitar to share with the crowd.

The museum continues to host events that celebrate regional art and culture, drawing visitors and community members alike.
