North Mississippi High School Students Gain Hands-On Experience in Fiber Splicing
High school students from across North Mississippi took part in a fiber splicing event hosted by Tombigee Electric Power Association. The event featured three rounds of hands-on training designed to test and develop their skills.
Students from New Albany High School, including Levi Cockrell, Warren Cook, Kam Foote, Bryan Hernandez, Isaiah Hall, Riley Hill, Macon Lyons, JT Morphis, Sam Pannell, and Sandler Syms, participated in the program. The event aimed to introduce students to careers in fiber optics and broadband technology, according to organizers.
Organizers expressed pride in the students’ participation and enthusiasm. The initiative is part of efforts to encourage interest in the growing field of broadband infrastructure and technology careers.
