Lizzie Moore, a senior at New Albany High School, has been named the winner of the 2026 Mississippi School Board Association Essay and Speaking Contest for Congressional District.
Moore received her award Tuesday at the MSBA Annual Conference. The contest’s topic was, “What are the benefits of a public school education?”
She also received a cash prize for her winning speech, according to contest organizers.
