Stephen McCraney, executive director of the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, provided an update on Tropical Storm Isaias on Monday. He advised residents to stay alert and prepared as the storm nears the area.
McCraney emphasized the importance of monitoring official weather reports and following safety recommendations. He also urged residents to review emergency plans and have supplies ready in case of severe weather impacts.
The storm is expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds to the region, potentially causing power outages and flooding, officials said. MEMA continues to coordinate with local agencies to monitor the situation and respond as needed.
