Road closures are scheduled in downtown New Albany for the Tallahatchie Riverfest on Saturday, according to city officials. Main Street, from East Bankhead to Carter Avenue, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The closures are part of preparations for the annual event, which begins Friday and continues through the weekend. Officials advise drivers to review the closure schedules and plan alternative routes accordingly.
City officials also warn residents to pay attention to posted vehicle removal times along Bankhead and Main streets. Vehicles left in designated closure areas may be towed at the owner’s expense. The city asks for patience and cooperation as it prepares for the Riverfest celebration.
