The Gumtree Woodworkers will host a birdhouse-making event on Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at an unspecified location in northeastern Mississippi.
Participants can build their own birdhouses with a $5 donation for children and a $10 donation for adults. Attendees also have the option to purchase pre-built birdhouses.
The club, established in 1994, aims to promote woodworking and community engagement. Money raised from the event will support local charitable efforts, including donations to the Marine Corps Toys For Tots program, through the club’s charitable activities at festivals and community events.
According to the club, proceeds help fund toy donations for children in need during the holiday season.
