Local police asking for public help related to recent church burglaries in area

Local police are asking for help from the public related to a string of recent church burglaries in the Union County area, according to a release from new Albany Chief Chris Robertson.

From Robertson:

The New Albany Police Department and the Union County Sheriff’s Department are asking for the public’s help for any information on the church burglaries we have had, in the city and county, in the last few days.

Moss Hill Baptist Church, located at 1111 Moss Hill Drive, and Blue Springs Baptist Church, located at 1739 County Road 278, were both broken into and damaged between Friday, August 8th and Saturday, August 9th.

Calvary Methodist Church, located at 113 Hwy 15 North was broken into also between Monday August 10th and Tuesday August 11th, 2020.

Anyone with information is asked to contact The New Albany Police Department at 662-534-2222 or the Union County Sheriff’s Department at 662-534-1941.
