Windham TV & Appliance Promotes Service Loyalty Over Big-Box Retailers

Windham TV & Appliance is emphasizing its commitment to service, highlighting the differences between its business model and that of big-box stores.

The company states it services the appliances it sells. Owner Steve Smith said, “We service what we sell,” adding that customers who purchase from big-box retailers may pay extra for cords, hoses, installation, and service contracts.

Smith explained that when an appliance purchased elsewhere breaks, those stores often call local service providers like Windham TV & Appliance to fix the issue. However, he said, those companies may be unable to prioritize repairs for products they did not sell, especially when they have existing commitments to their own customers.

The business claims to be the only appliance repair service operating in Windham County and the surrounding five counties, focusing on local customer loyalty and prompt service for appliances they sell.

Windham TV & Appliance positions itself as a local alternative that stands behind its products and services, contrasting with the policies of larger retailers that often sell appliances with additional service contracts and setup fees.
