Players from the 1970 West Union and Myrtle basketball teams reunited Sunday to discuss that memorable season. The gathering offered a chance for former teammates to share memories and reflect on their achievements.
The event was organized by local sports enthusiasts, who plan to release a full video of the reunion later this week. Fans and alumni are encouraged to stay tuned for the footage, which aims to highlight the camaraderie and excitement of the 1970 season.
Details about the event and the significance of that season were not specified, but organizers emphasized the importance of preserving local sports history. The reunion served as a nostalgic reminder of a notable chapter in the schools’ athletic histories.
