Vance Witt is retiring after 58 years as a leader at BNA Bank and a prominent figure in Northeast Mississippi. Witt has served as a trusted mentor and friend to the bank and the community, according to a statement from BNA Bank.
The bank will host a celebration for Witt on Friday, September 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Magnolia Civic Center. The event honors his career and contributions to the region.
Witt’s legacy includes decades of leadership and community involvement. As he steps down as chairman of the board, colleagues and community members expressed gratitude for his service, which they say has made a lasting impact for future generations.
BNA Bank did not specify any future plans for Witt but acknowledged his significant role in the bank’s history and the community at large.
