Union County Schools is marking 20 years of its theatre program, founded by Ken Basil and Clint Reid to bring students from the district’s four schools together.
The district recognized Basil and Reid during a recent production of “South Pacific.” Reid directed productions for 15 years, according to the district. Austin Basil continues to lead the program.
Plans are underway to establish the Basil/Reid Theatre Scholarship for a deserving senior in the district, the district said.
