Students to Explore Safari Art and Animals in New Albany Event
Students from kindergarten through eighth grade in New Albany will have the opportunity to explore safari animals and art on October 20. The event runs from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. and is led by Mrs. Tracy Vainisi, according to organizers.
Participants will have the chance to view the museum’s collection of real safari animals. They will also create a painting of a savanna sunset and craft an Edward Gorey-inspired animal envelope, organizers said.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to register online through a provided link. The event aims to educate children about wildlife and art in an engaging setting.
Local media outlets including WTVA 9 News and NEmiss.news have highlighted the event, which is hosted by the New Albany community. Schools such as New Albany Elementary, Middle School, and Ingomar Attendance Center are promoting participation.
