New Albany High School Powerlifters qualify for North Half Championship

Three boys from New Albany High School have qualified for the North Half Championship after placing in the top three at regional competition, according to school officials.

Jamie Shorter finished second, Carter Voyles took third, and Samuel Morton placed first in their respective divisions, earning spots in the upcoming meet.

The students’ performances highlight the strength of the school’s powerlifting program, officials said.

The North Half Championship is scheduled for later this month, with the top performers advancing to the state level.
