New Albany High School Powerlifters advance to state championships

New Albany High School’s powerlifting team earned several top placements at the North Half meet, qualifying for the upcoming state championships.

Candace Ordaz finished third, Morgan Pierce placed second, and Jamie Shorter secured first place, according to school officials.

Sam Morton also finished first in his category, officials said. The state championships are scheduled for later this month.
