Mississippi officials are focusing on severe thunderstorms as part of Fall Severe Weather Preparedness Week. The storms can bring damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) recommends residents stay informed about weather alerts and hazards. Knowing how to respond can help protect lives and property.
To assist with education, MEMA has released an informational video on severe thunderstorms and preparedness tips. Residents are encouraged to watch the video and review safety procedures for severe weather events.
Severe thunderstorms are more than just rain and thunder. They pose significant risks, and awareness is key to staying safe during fall storms.
