Union County Heritage Museum unveils quilt celebrating New Albany’s history
The Union County Heritage Museum has unveiled a new quilt that celebrates the history of New Albany. The quilt was created by local artists Elizabeth Brown, Katherine Dye, Margaret Pieczyk, Helen Rutledge, and Judy Henry.
Each block on the quilt tells a unique story from the town’s past, ranging from the Alberson Trading Post to the Sesquicentennial celebration held in 1990. The quilt serves as a visual tribute to the community’s rich history.
The museum encourages visitors to view the quilt and learn more about New Albany’s heritage through this artistic display. The project highlights the collaboration between local artists and the community to preserve and celebrate their history.
