The Union County Heritage Museum in New Albany is hosting the 2026 William Faulkner Literary Competition, now in its 29th year, according to the museum. The competition invites writers of all ages and experience levels to submit works in categories including novel, short story, poetry, and one-act play.
Winners will be announced in September 2026, with cash prizes and recognition for outstanding entries, the museum said. Submissions are open through the competition’s website, williamfaulknerliterarycompetition.com.
