TCEPA Urges Public Not to Remove Damaged Power Equipment After Storm

The Texas City Electric Power Authority (TCEPA) has issued a warning to the public not to pick up damaged power poles or equipment from its rights-of-way.

The utility said any damaged equipment is needed for future inventory and documentation related to the recent storm. Crews will return after power is restored to collect the equipment.

TCEPA emphasized that residents should leave the damaged infrastructure in place to aid ongoing recovery efforts. The agency thanked the public for their cooperation.
