Students in K-8 invited to Discovery Zone event in New Albany
Students in kindergarten through eighth grade are encouraged to participate in Discovery Zone on February 24 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., according to organizers.
The event, which is free, will take place at the New Albany Elementary School. Participants will learn about native Mississippi animal species and create art for the Bob Tyler Fish Hatchery Youth Art Contest, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.
Registration is available through a provided link, and the event aims to engage youth in local wildlife education and artistic expression. Local partners include the New Albany City Hall, Main Street Association, and the Mississippi Arts Commission.
