Second graders at NAES explore virtual reality as new learning tool

Second-grade students at NAES are now using virtual reality headsets as an educational tool. The technology aims to provide students with immersive, real-life experiences across various subjects.

These virtual field trips and cultural explorations offer students opportunities to learn beyond the traditional classroom setting. The program is made possible by funding from the Dean Provence Endowment for Excellence in Education’s classroom grant initiative.

Educators hope that integrating virtual reality will increase engagement and deepen understanding of curriculum content. The initiative reflects a growing trend to incorporate innovative technology into elementary education.
