New Signs Installed at New Albany Welcome Center Native Garden
New signs were installed Thursday at the Tanglefoot Trail Welcome Center’s native plant garden in New Albany. The signs provide information about Mississippi native plants and the pollinators that depend on them, according to the city.
Tracy Vainisi led the project, with support from the New Albany Garden Club and Middle School Garden Dogs. The effort was funded in part by a Keep Mississippi Beautiful Coca-Cola grant. The signs were fabricated, built, and installed by New Albany Sign Co., officials said.
City officials expressed enthusiasm about the addition, noting ongoing efforts to expand and improve the garden space. Visitors are encouraged to stop by and explore the new educational features, officials added.
