New Albany School District Expands Pollinator Garden with Grant Funding
Tracy Vainisi and her sixth-grade EXCEL Garden Dogs at New Albany Middle School are expanding their pollinator garden with a new bed on campus. The project is part of a hands-on effort to beautify the school grounds.
The garden expansion is funded through a classroom grant from the Dean Provence Endowment for Excellence in Education. The grant supports projects that promote outdoor learning and environmental stewardship.
Students are actively involved in the project, which is sponsored by the New Albany Garden Club. The initiative aims to educate students about pollinators and the importance of native plants in local ecosystems.
