Multiple Departments Respond to Large Out-of-Control Fire in Mississippi
Firefighters are battling a large blaze covering about 30 acres in Mississippi, with structures under threat and landscape equipment possibly on fire, according to radio traffic updates.
Responding units reported difficulties due to wet ground and high winds, which are complicating efforts to contain the fire. Multiple departments have been called to assist, including Ecru from Pontotoc County.
Ingomar, located in the southern part of the county, called for backup from Pinedale, Southeast, and West Union fire departments. The fire is described as out of control and threatening nearby structures, prompting authorities to seek additional help from forestry services.
Fire officials continue to monitor the situation as crews work to contain the blaze amid challenging weather conditions, including strong winds.
