Mississippi governor provides update on winter storm response

JACKSON, Miss. — Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves said Monday that the state continues to respond to a severe winter storm impacting the region. Reeves noted that authorities are working with county, state, federal, and private sector partners to manage the ongoing conditions.

Reeves confirmed that two more deaths have been reported due to the winter weather. One of the fatalities occurred in Alco, though details about the circumstances were not provided by officials.
