Mississippi Emergency Management Agency Continues Disaster Relief Efforts

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency and the Mississippi National Guard are working to distribute supplies to counties impacted by recent events, according to officials.

Yesterday, they delivered 96,000 bottles of water, 1,152 meals, 14,000 tarps, 976 blankets, and 288 cots to affected areas. The Mississippi National Guard’s Chinook helicopters continue to deliver supplies, with more than 119,000 pounds transported so far.

Local distribution sites are providing these supplies to residents in need, officials said. The ongoing relief efforts aim to support communities as they recover from the recent disasters.
