Saltillo Main Street and the New Albany Main Street Association teamed up to deliver 10 red maple trees to the city of New Albany, according to organizers.
The trees are expected to add aesthetic value to the community and support downtown development, officials said. The initiative highlights the strength of Mississippi Main Street communities when working together, a spokesperson noted.
Special thanks were given to Deanna Lambert Knight and Billye Jean Stroud for their roles in making the project possible. The effort underscores ongoing efforts to keep communities vibrant and beautiful, officials added.
