MEMA partners with Mississippi National Guard to deliver supplies after winter storm

Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is collaborating with the Mississippi National Guard to deliver essential supplies to counties affected by a recent winter storm.

On Tuesday afternoon, the National Guard loaded water, Meals Ready to Eat (MREs), cots, and blankets onto two Chinook helicopters bound for Alcorn County, according to footage provided by MEMA.

The effort aims to support residents facing shortages and difficult conditions caused by the winter weather. Officials continue to assess needs across impacted areas and coordinate relief efforts with state agencies and local officials.
