As of 8 a.m. Tuesday, ice continues to affect roads in 10 counties across Mississippi, according to state transportation officials.
The affected counties are Benton, Bolivar, Coahoma, DeSoto, Lafayette, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Tate, and Tunica. The advisory applies to state-maintained roadways, including interstates and highways, and does not include local roads.
Drivers are urged to exercise extra caution while traveling in areas impacted by winter weather. Officials recommend checking live road conditions through the Mississippi Department of Transportation’s traffic app, available on the App Store and Google Play, or visiting MDOTtraffic.com.
