City and County Juniors and Seniors Participate in Prom Safety Drill at BNA Park

All city and county juniors and seniors were invited to participate in a prom safety drill Thursday morning at BNA Park, also known as the New Albany Sports Plex.

The exercise, dubbed the Prom Promise scenario, aims to educate students about the potential consequences of poor decisions, not only during prom but in everyday life, according to organizers.

Emergency services agencies from the area collaborated on the event, which involved multiple emergency vehicles and personnel. Officials emphasized that the drill was a simulation and not an actual emergency.

The event began at 10 a.m. and was designed to raise awareness among young people about safety and responsible decision-making during prom season.
